A representati ve of Federai Tlieatres, l.td. whioh owiis the theatre, stated today tliat a oonservati ve estLmate of the oost of repairs would oe £10,000. l't would bo diflicult to arnv^' al aa aoourate ILgure, he said, as it was aot yet known how mucli of the thoatre 's ftiriiishing.s would liave to be 1 eplaoed. The stage seotion of tne tlieatre was eompletely burut out and the lieat from the lire damaged tho up holstory of seats throughout the builuing. It is thought tliat most of tne ■ seats will be able to be repairod ov ! reoovering.
