Pcrsonal Mrs. Wastie, after being in the ? Palmerston North Hospital for some time, entered the Wellington Hospital for further treatment yesterday. ✓ Bishop Holland will visit Otaki' on Sunday, when he will conduct a service at Rangiatea. He will also be entertained at Raukawa, when farewell speeches will be delivered. Mr. T. Brindle has been elected president of the Otaki branch of the Labour Party, and Miss Hogben secretary. A visit is expected from Mr. James Thorne, M.P., at an early date. Mr. W. Hamilton, who has been in the Palmerston North Hospital for the past thirteen weeks, has returned to his home at Otaki. Mr. Hamilton, unfortunately, is far from well. Mr. J. Shearer, chief traffic offlcer in Palmerston North for the past two and a half years and l'ormerly of Otaki, has been transierred at his own request to the position of traffic officer in charge of the rural areas around the city. Mr. Shearer will continue to reside in Palmerston North. His successor has not yet been announced.
