NEW COMMITTEE -MEETS for The first monthly meeting of th. Levin Plunket Society's committee " * after the recent annual meeting was held this week. Mrs. L. J. Hunter was in the chair. A lengthy discussion took place regarding the proposed alterations to the rest rooms, and it was decided to try and arrange a meeting between the borough engineer and the Plunket executive to discuss an alternative plan. It was decided to grant the sum of £20 to Manakau sub-branch to assist with their building fund. An appeal was made to the committee on behalf of the Mothers' Club for help in their forthcoming street day on August 20. Any gifts of produce, ete., for their stalls would be much appreciated. The money raised is to assist the funds for the establishment of a children's play centre in Levin.
