CO-OPERATION BETWEEN U.S. AND ARGENTINE

It is reported that Uiiited States and Argentine liuve reached a substantiat agreement under which Argentine has agreed to take positive steps to eomrol German industry, close reuiaining German schools, and expel or take legal action against a list agreed upon of Xazis, says the Xew York Times Bueuos Aires' corresjiondent. In return America has agreed to arm and train the Argentine Army. Argentina has agreed Lo nationalise six " spearhead ' ' German industries' holcling companies, also assure tlie sale of about tliirty seeondary industries to Argentine nationals and take steps to deal with the remaiuing minor German lirms. Full Argentine collaboration with United States in inter-American conferences, it is stated, has also been agreed upon, which marks a sharp change in Argentine policy which is usually opposed to United States at these meetings. United States will provide reasonable militarv (•(|uipinerit and send a mission lo train the Argentine army and simiiarly to Brazil and other Latin-Ameri-ran countries.
