Reeeived Friday, 10.5 a.m. LONDON, August 8. _ Ministers of seven Arab States are meeting in Alexandria on August 12 to discuss the situation in Palestine, says the Associated Press' Baghdad correspondent. An extraordinary ^eeting of the Arab League might be calied later. Official quarters in Iraq express strong disapproval of the Palestine partition plan and declare that the proposed federation is "even worse."

Ple added: "I think the Russians are better equipped to teach the world how racial and religious discrimination can be eradicated." Reuter's Jerusalem correspondent reports that R.A.F. Lancaster and Halifax bombers patrolling the Mediterranean 200 miles from Palestine, are searching for ships bringing in illegal immigrants. The bcmbers liave been reinforced by Spitfires, which have been" flying inshore patrols. It is reliably learnt that 1400 immigrants aboard the nve ships in Ilaifa Harbour will be allowed asliore when the Athlit Camp is enlarged to accommodate them.
