NO TRACE OF MISSING FISHERMEN

WELLINGTON, August 6. An air search for the dinghy and three occupants missing from Oliiro Bay since ►Sunday, was abandoned to day, after a wide area up the East Coast had been covered. Land parties under tlie control of the Wellington polico, combed the coast between Island Bay and the northern end of Makara foi' even the smallest piece of evidence which might give a clue to the fate of the missing trio. Negaiive results were rejiorted when the search ended in the late afternoon. ( * A Jiigh wind and rough seas were rejiorted by the crews of the aircraft but visibility was again good. The Hudson aircraft have return ed to their respective stations at Ohakea and Wigram and the Catalina will return to Auckland I'rom Evans Bay tomorrow. While hopes are now diminishing, polico parties will concentrate on gnother portion of the coast tomorrow, in Ihe vicinity of Pencarrow Head.
