Plollywood's most successful young comedy team was broken up j — temporarily at least — when DonI ald O'Oonnor reported for Army | duty and left Peggy Ryan to carry ! on alone. Just before being induct- ! ed, however, Donald got togetherj with Peggy to perform a produc-: tion number for Universal's : "Bowery to Broadway." It was the; 1 fourteenth picture of the pair in their two years at Universal. It will be one of their last appearances till O'Connor comes marching home again. "Bowery to Broadway" now at the Civic Theatre, is a cavalcade of entertainment, with a cast of stars including Maria Montez, Jack Oakie, Susanna Foster, Turhan Bey, Ann Blyth, Donala Cook and Louis Allbritton.
