HIGHER ADMISSION TO TESTS
Australian crowds will be asked to pay at least 50 per cent. more to wat.ch the cricket Tests with England next summer than the last Tests 10 years ago. Australian Board of Control secretary Jeanes said Marylebone had asked for increased charges because of higher costs. A reasonable profit from international tours was essential; they provided the life-blood for cricket promotion in both countries. Thc Sheffield Shield series yielded little profit.
