HAS NO HOBBY
Ingrid. Bergman has no hobbyi other than her work. That, per- ' haps, is a good thing. She would , .have little time to devote to a j hobby. in case she had one. Miss j Bergman is co-starring with Gary Cooper in Warner's "Saratoga Trunk," the Hal B. Wallis production based on the Edna Ferber novel of the same name due in New Zealand next month. The actress set an American screen record by working sixty-two consecutive days (Sundays excluded) in that production. Except for an attack of laryngitis, wnich kept her at horne a week, that record would have been even more impressive. ,She is in four out of every five
scenes of the picture. The ' film marks the second consecutive iteaming of Cooper and Bergman as j stars and Sam Wood as director. jThe same combination did the Ernest Hemingway best seller "For Whom the Bell Tolls." No' actress has ever been so greatly in demand from as many film companies as I'Sweden's blonde star is right now.
