COMMUNIST BAND ESCAPES Received Saturday, 11 a.m. LONDON, Aug. 2. Rocket-firing Spitfires swooped on an alleged Communist band, which broke through a cordon and 1 escaped after setting fire to a vil- ' iage north of Larissa, says the Associated Press' Athens correspondent. Greek troops surrounded the , band in the darkness and hrought up heavy weapons while the fighters strafed for seventy minutes. ; The band, however, broke out after j killing six prisoners.
