ARBOR DAY IN LEVIN

PLANTING OF CIIERRY DRIVE The observance of Arbor Day, which is being held on August 7, is receiving attention in Levin. The Levin Borough Council is co-oper-ating with the Levin and District Beautifying Society and, as previously reported, pupils from the Levin Public School will take part in the major work. Twenty-four flowering cherry trees will be planted by 12 girls and 12 boys. Each girl and boy will be provided with their" own name plate, and the trees will form a grove on either side of Cambridge Street by the Public Gardens and the Triangle Reserve. As thiise trees come into flower very quickly, Levin within a few years will have its own cherry drive.
