One application was revoked, one refused, one was outside the jurisdiction of the committee and 20 were withdrawn; 153 applications were granted at the first reading, 132 after a voluntary settlement between the parties, four without a reduction after hearing and 77 with reductions after hearing. 'During July. the Wellington Urban Committee received 409 new applications -and the Wellington Rural Committee 401.
