It has five operating theatres, four of which have students' galleries, a librarv, and the inost up-10-date X-rav equipmeiit in Britain. Mr. Mclndoe performed - the Jlrst operation in oue of the new theatres in Pebruary, on an officer of an American Flying Fortress which crashed and cauglit iire. The Queen referred to the building as "a svmbol of thc love of freedom and humaiiity which unites our twro peoples. "
