JOCKEYS REFUSE TO RIDE
Eefusal by the jockeys to ridc in the Kosebank Hurdles Handicap at Marton on Saturday was the cause of considerable delay in the start of the race. The riders protested that there was insufiicient lean on the fences and tho field did not line-up for the start until the hurdles had been lowered. - The event was won by the Kew Ply-mouth-trained Whackie, who, having his first start over hurdles, was_ ridden by I. Rohloff aud was the eiect of baekers.
