In Australia and America- they tliink I ara in rags and slarving, said Mr. Bernard Shaw, '•eommenting on tlie reproductions of costumes used in his plays, which were displayed at a West End exhibition in lionour of his ninetieth birthday. Dressed in a well-worn but still sniart thin grey suit, the nonagenarian visited the exhibition. De.an Inge, opening the exhibition, asked: "I wonder if Shaw still believe3 in his old friends tlie Russians. If he does he must have i'aith to remove tlie iron curtain."
