Parking Problems in America
The parking problem which confronted employers of large industries in America was mentioned by Mr. J. F. Johnston, at Auckland. At the River Rouge plant operated by the Ford Company in Illinois, there were tramcars running in the parking area to carry workers from their cars to places of work. It was not unusual for an employee to have to park his car a mile or so from his work.
