Approval has been given for a new 8U0 bed hospital for the 6th i Xew Zealund General Hospital, the eonstruction of whieh is to begin uext Aug 1 ust and should be linislied in five j montlis. For the 22ud Kew Zealand ' Battalion, there is to be new barracks at Shimonoseki, several miles from the preseut eamp at Ghol'u, whieh will be I litted w ith every possible eomfort. Building will begin iu August and probably take six montlis. It luis beeu : deeided no ehange of site is necessarv : for tlie troops stationed at Yamaguclii 'but tlie preseut barracks will be eoinpletely renovated. Kew barracks will be buill for all base units, the proposed site being the Ozuqi airliold. This pro ' ject will probably nol be linislied be "i'ore March, 1947. All Kew Zealand supplies are now lo come through B.G.U.F. Gauteeu ser K'iecs have been iutegrated and ameni ' lies will possibly be treated similarly. Lieut-General ltobertson, Gonimander-in-Chief, has laid dowii that the troops are to have tlie maximutn oi' eomfort and Jias given an assurance that so long as tlie Kew Zealund Foree asks i'or what it wants, supplies will be forth- ' comiug.
