WELLINGTON, This Day. j i RegaTded as the Grand National rehearsal meeting, the j J Christchurch Hunt fixture, to take place at Riccarton to-morrow, [/ has, wit% the exception of the opening event, drawn attractive j fields? *Although the running might not prove as reliable a guide as some might expect, because several likely North Island National prospects are not engaged in to-morrow's fields, the rf,- y|iinning should nevcr-thefess, be helpful for later events at the .. /^lational.^/ /

/The openU stefeplechase/ 46-mor-row wvill, ..with the exception. of j two — Abbey-Lu and Opaltown— be j contested hy South Island horses-, while in the Longbeach' Hurdles the ! North Island is fairly well reprejsented. The Brabazon Handicap, invariably regaraed as a good Winter Cup guide, will also have a fair share of North horses. The Riccarton course is reported to be in very good order. Several horses racing at the Napier Park meeting to-morrow have engagements at the Grand National fixture and their running will be watched with interest, as i also will those at the Rangitikei Hunt, at Marton.
