After frnitless attempts over severn] days to complete tlie crews of both st eamers, the Union Steam Sliip Co. paid off the eomplements of the collier Kaimiro and youthern cargo ship Korowai. Both vessels are now laid up. The Kaimiro is urgentlv needed on the Westj Coast coal run and the Korowai is fnlly laden with cargo for the South lsland.
