OBITUARY
MR. JACK FIELDING Widespread regret will be felt at the news of the passing of Mr. Jack Fielding, for many years a prominent resident of Otaki, whose death occurred at his home in St. Albans, Christchurch, yesterday afternoon. The late Mr. Fielding farmed at Te Horo for some considerable time, but a few months ago entered retirement and moved to the South Island to reside. The deceased made a host of friends, all of whom will tender their deepest sympathy to the bereaved relatives. The deceased gentlemau leaves a widow and one son, Bob. There are two brothers, Harry j (Hautere) and Robert (Dunedin) and a sister, Mrs. Maud Hughes. | The deceased gentleman was a j foundation member of the Otaki ' Brass Band, in which he took a i very keen interest over a long period of years, and he also identified himself with various movements for the good of the district. He was the possessor of a very generous nature, and each Christmas entertained the patients of the Otaki Sanatorium.
