AUSTRALIAN PETROL PRICE
Received Wednesday, 7 p.m. CANBERRA, Julv 24. The price of petrol will be reduced by one pennv per gallon toda}-, briuging it to 2s 5B1 which is 4H1 a gallon clieaper than the highest level of the war years. Prices of oils and spirits are reduced similarly. Motor traders' and drivers' representatives point out that the price of petrol is still 40 per eent about the prewar level and that there is still diserepancy of 2Ad a gallon between Australia and New Zealand.
