Mrs. Moore, of Rangiuru, is at present a patient at the .Palmerston North Hospital. Mr. and Mrs. Askew, after some years' residence in Otaki, left some time ago for England, where they have been for years, the war delaying their return. They are pow residents of Palmerston North, but yesterday were in Otaki renewing old friendships. * Card Evening The card evening held by All Saints' Gutld on M.onday night was most successful. those present Ispending a most enjoyable time. iThe arrangements were in the jcapable hands of members of the iguild. Croqiiet Aflernoon A card party was held yesterday afternoon at the residence of Mrs. McBeth. when quite a number !attended to participate in bridge, [500 and euchre, tne funds being for the Municipal Croquet Club. iMrs. Jensen won the prize for 500. iMrs. Harding the euchre and Miss Clarke the bridge. Tasty refreshments were enjoyed hnd the afteri nooii proved a very pleasant oue.
