By riding two winncrs at. the' eorubined nieeting at Stratford on Sat-ur-day, whicli raiscd his total to 54, N. B. Hui land made his position fairly seeure as the leadiug jockey for the current j seasou. W. J. Brougliton also rode two winners at Awapuni, but he is still three points below Ilolland and with only next Saturdav's racing left to coucludo the season, the ehanee of Holland being overtaken is reiuote. Brougliton will be riding at the Christchurch Hunt Club 's nieeting at Kiccarton where there are only four ilat races 011 the programmc.
