WELLINGTON, July 24. For the first time since before the war, admissions were made to the inner bar to-day. The AttorneyGeneral, Mr. Mason, M.A., LLB., and the Solicitor-General, Mr. H. E.. Evans, B.A., LLM,, made the required declaration before the Chief Justiee, Sif Micha.el Myers, in the Supreme Court, and received patents as King's Counsel. Sir Michael said it was appropriate that the Attorney-General was being appointed a King's Counsel, because he was proceeding abroad to represent New Zeaiand at the peace conference, and should carry with him all the prestige that properly attached to his position.
