RICH OPAL FIND
Received Monday, 9.15 p.m. MEliBOURNE, July 22. Ten men, one woman and a handful of ahorigines are rnaking a fortune on an unhelievahly rich opal iield eight miles from Coober Pedy, Victoria. The field was discovered in Febraary hy a wandering black who found a small piece of opal scratched out by a rabbit. During the past fortnight finds have included one opal seven inches long and valued at £860, and another slightly smaller valued at £600.
