REHABILITATION OF BLIND SERVICEMEN
AUCKLAND, July 21. For the purpose of studving the rehabilitation of blinded servicemen in New Zealand, two Australians, pronvinent in work for the blind, arrived in ' Auckland by flying boat. They are Mr. ; P. J. Lynch, Federal President of the, Australian Blinded Soldiers' Associa-I tious, and Mr. S. W. Hedger, supei-uu1 tendent and seeretary of the Royal , Victorian Institute for the Blind, Mel- ' bourne. Tliey will spent about 10 days in New Zealand. After studving the work done at St. Dunstan 's in Auckland and at rehabilitatibn centres, they will proceed to Wellington. They will later visit Christchurch where they intend to examine the making of plastie artilieial eyes. ''This w-ork which is being , doiie in Christchurch seems at the moment to be a most importaut advauce, " said klr. Lynch. They will return to Auckland for a general discussion on the result of their inciuiries before leaving for Australia.
