DISPLAY AT PAEKAKARIKI
Women's Institute members frcm Paraparaumu, Pukerua Bay, Plimmerton and Paremata were entertained by the Paekakariki Inhiirte on Wednesday. St. Peter's- Hall was gaily decorated with flowers. A display of hand-work, included some artieles made by blind people Following afternoon tea a talk was givcn . by Miss Norma Cooper of Paekakariki. Miss Cooper, whc travelled tlirough Holiand an" jSwitzerland before the outbreak of war and afterwards served in Eng land as a Waaf, told of her maru interesting expericnces, particu larly in the war yc-ars. On behalf of Faek^karfl-' Institute members, Mrs. Denby, th president, made presentatimis to member who is shortly to be m^r ried, and to Mrs. G. Wars, wh recently celebrated her goldc1" wedding.
