^ SPIRITUALISTS WANT ANCIENT ACT REVISED Received Saturday, 11.20 a.m. LONDON, July 19. Claiming that mediums should not be treated as rogues, vagajbonds, or pirates of society, the Spiritualists National Union asked for legislation to annul the 216 year-old Witchcraft Act. The reiquest was made by a deputation | which saw the Chuterede report ! released by the Home Office tojnight. | The deputation 's main case was : that the Witchcraft Act caught in its net imposters and innocent persons alike. The report states that the case would be looked into with the object of giving all law abiding citizens freedom of religion. Members of the deputation included, Air Chief Marshal Lord Dowding and the Dowager, Dutchess of Hamilton.
