KOPUTAROA'S MEETING The July meeting of the Koputaroa Women's Institute was held last Saturday afternoon, Mrs. Koberstein presiding over a good attendancb of members. Three new members were welcomed and an apology was received from Mrs." Grey. . Arrangements were discussed regarding the l'ally,) which i!s 'td b;e held at the end of July' in" ihe Koputaroa Hall. The roll call caused some amusement. After afternon tea Mrs. Dunn, of Fairfield, gave members an interesting demonstration of tatting. The monthly competition, a worked tea towel, was won as follows: — Senior: Mrs. Chapman 1, Mrs. Netten 2, Miss L. Koberstein 3. Juniors: Joyce McLaughlin 1, Joan McLaughlin 2. The senior brooch for the flower was won by Mrs. Chapman, Mrs. Lancaster won the shrub brooch and Audrey Storey won the junior brooch with her flower. The singing of the National Anthem brought an enjoyable meeting to a close.
