Follo-wing on tlie recent 21 per cent. reduc tipn in the wliolesale margins of most types of drapery and clothing, the Price Tribunal lias also reduced retail margins by the same percentage. The reduction applies in the main to similar lines in each case and includes most lines of men's, women 's and children 's clothing and manchester goods. The retail reduction will come into foree 011 August 1 for goods received into store as froni that date and on August 15 for goods in store before August 1. The extra fortnight in the second case is allowed to g'ive retailers time to reniark tlieir stocks. This reduction is in pursuanee of the Tribunal 's policy of keepiug margins of prolit. in line with 1 those ruling on' ciniilar goods on Sei>tember 1, 1939.
