LEVIN BOROUGII ROUNCIL NOTICE OF INTENTION TO STR1KE RATES pUBLIC NOTICE is hereby given Uiat the Levin Borough Council will, at a Special Meeting of the Council to be held in the Council Cliambers, Bath Street, Levin, at noon 011 Friday, August 2, 1946, make and levy the following rates for the year ending 31 March, 1947: 1. A General Raie of seven and oue tenth pence (7.1d.) in the £ 011 the Unimproved Value of all Rateable property in the Borough of Levin. 2. A Hospital Rate (under the provisions of Secrion 52 of "The Hospital and Gharitable Institutions Act, 1926") of two and four-tenths pence (2.4d.) in the £ 011 the Unimproved Value of all Rateable property in the Borough of Levin. 3. A Water Rate (Ordinary Supply), under the provisions of Section 84 of "The Municipal Corporations Act, 1933," of two and two-tenths pence (2.2d.) in tlie £ 011 the Unimproved Value of all Rateable property in the Borough of Levin, provided tliat, if such rate would produce less than" ten shillings (10/-) in respect of any such land or dwelling-house, a charge of ten shillings wili be made. Oue half of the above water rates on all lands and buildings to which water can be, but is not supplied, situate within one hundred yards of any part of the waterworks, and on all buildings other than dwellingliouses. 4. A Uniform Annual Sanitation charge, under the provisions of Section 90 (2) of "The Municipal Corporations Act, 1933," oi Two pouncls five shillings (£2/5/-) per pan upon all such properties as have a building tliereon to which the Council is prepared to extend the service. 5. A Manawatu Catchment Board Administrative rate (under the provisions of Sections 84 and 95 of "The Soil Conservation and Rivers Control Act, 1941") of three-tenths of a penny (0.3d.) in the £ on the Unimproved Value of all Rateable property in the Borough of Levin. ALL the above rates are for the period commencing on the first day of April, 1946, and ending on the thirty-first day of March, 1947, and are payable in one sum on the first day of September, 1946.
