HOROWHENUA COLLEGE
NEW PRINCIPAL APPOINTED At a meeting of the Wellington Education Board yesterday, Mr. N. A. Burns, at present first assistant master at the Wellington Technical College, was appointed principal of Horowhenua College. The position of principal has been vacant since the passing of the late Mr. W. D. Thomas, who filled the office with distinction from the opening of the college. Subsequently, the duties were carried out in an acting capacity by Mr. H. A. Heron, who left at the end of last year to take over the principalship of Rongotai Boys' College, while since then the first assistant, Mr. A. Haley, has discharged them.
