WELLINGTON, July 16. During tlie past week 8225 Initter coiipons aud 177,396 nieat coupntiK were saved, said llie cliaii'inan of tlie National Faniine Einergeiicy Gomniittee tonight. This brougiit tlie total coupons saved to nearly three million. An outstandiiig feature of the week was the meeting in Wellington of Hinuera' representati ves from all over New Zealand to coniplete details of campaigii for inereased production. Mr. iSniallu'ood said the week 's figures were satisfying only inasniuch as they refiresented that tlie campaigu was holding its ground. An interesl ing feature of the week's savings was that nine districts record1 ed inereased Imtter savings and nine inereased nieat savings. Blenheim won Ihe district pennant for tlie second timo during the rampnign, beatirtg the previous week's winner, Gi'sliorne, by an extreniely small margin. An additional spurt was, however, wanted in some districts. The Wellington effort fell to a new low record of one coupon in every nine kousekolds.
