LtQwry, of Wellington, have been spenaing a L'ew days in Levin. Mr. E. A. Field, of Foxton, has been re-elected president of the New Zealand Beekeepers' A.ssociation. Miss Dorothy Crisp was appointed to the position of assfstant librarian at a meeting of the Levin Borough Councii last evening. There werd two applications for the position. Among naval personnel returning to New Zealand by the R.M.S. Rangitiki is Lieutenant (A) W.S. Donnelly, R.N.Z.N.V.R., of Levin, together with his wil'e and cnild." Lieutenant Donnelly has served in the Fleet Air Arm for a number of years. He is due to arrive at Wellington on Thursday morning. " 1 Mr. J. W. Holdstock, who .has been manager of the Levin branch of Macdufi's, Ltd., for the past three years, leaves at the week-end on transfer to Auckland. At yesterday's weekly luncheon of the. 'Levin -■-RQtary Club the president (Mr. -E:- R. Winkler). congratulated Mr. ■ Holdstock 011 his 'proniotioh, but expressed the regret of members that he would be lost to the club, of which he was a charter or foundation member. He extended the good wishes of membei\s to Mr. Holdstock, who briefly replied.
