The Manawatu Bacing Club's second steeplecliase meettng was concluded at Awapuni on Saturday and it ptoved to be one of the inost guccessful ever held by the club. First day investments, £91,092 10s; establishfcd a new record for ;the club, but this record lasted only a ' week, Saturday 's total being £1Q0,38Q. During the two days of the melting the investments amounted to £191,472 10s. / " ■ • •' The weather, threatenlng early, was delightfully iine and wariii.
