On Saturday1 evening members oi Levin Tennis Club orgahised a dance in the Druids* Hall .to ^say farewell to Mr. J. W: Hoidstoek, who 3is shoftly leaving to take,a position with his firm in Auckland. There was a fair attendance of members and friends, and at a suitable interval the club-captaih> Mf. G. H. Sorenson, ih the ufiaVoidabie absence of the president, Df. S. J. "Thompson, took the opportunity" of expressing to Mr. Hoidstoek 'the club's best wishes for success ih his new sphere, and thanking him for his work for the club during the period he had been a member of the committee. Mr. Hoidstoek suitably replied, after which dancihg was resumed.
