N.Z. Press Complimented A tribute was paid to the New Zealand press by Dr. Karl T. Compton, the American physicist, when speaking before Wellington scientific societies at Victoria "CJhiversity College. After the Bikini atomic bomb test, he said, there had Lecn some sensational reports in the United Stat.es press. "Mqst of the information was incorrect," said Dr. Compton. "However, I am not referring to the newspapers in this country. By what I have seen during my brief stay here I would say that your press is more accurrate." Certain American newspapers, he added, had been responsible for reports thaf"" were "particularly wild."
