Received Thursday, 7 p.m. BRISBANE, July 11. The watersiders have dceided to return to work following yesterday's decision of the meat workers to resume 011 Friday, and also deeided to take 110 part in any future dispute unless a stopwork meeting of members is called to diseuss the position fully. The eoal liiiners' officials are recommending meetings today to j resume work 011 Friday. The collapse of the eighteen-weeks-old strike is regarded as the greatest blow to Comnmnists in the State's industrial history. The loss in production as the result of the strike is estimated at £6,000,000. it is expect ed that 60,000 indirectly thrown out of work by the restrietions, will he liack at work on iMondav. The greatest anti-Oommunist demonstration in the history of Queensland unionism oeeurred at a mass meeting of striking meatworkers in Brishane Stadium yosterday afternoon. The meeting, which was attended hy over 2000 workers, was among the rowdiest and most dramatic ever-held and foreshadowed a com]iiete revoll against Oommunist union leadership. Than men, 011 the voicas, : unanimously carried a resoiution submittad hy the disputes eommittee of the Trades and Labour rouncil that 1hey return to work.
