LOXDOX, July S. Tlie Government lias takou over tlie late Sir Watkin Williams-Wvnn's estate, at Glanllyn, Nortli Wales, in lieu of death dutie's. This is the first instance of action being taken iiuder the schome of the Chancellor of the Exchequer (Mr. Dalton) for the Governmont acquiring land in cases where an estate pref'ers to pay its debt to the States in that maiiner. It is stated that the Government intends to managed Glanllyn with the objeet of developing the utilisation of sound land. The sitting tenants will be i shown clue consicleration.
