GISBORNE, July 8. The collier Poolta, scheduled to'sail last- night for Greymouth, was held up ;n Gisborne owing to a dispute with the seamen and watersiders regayding a .small quantity of coal left in No. 4 hold. Sailing is delayed indetinitely and repesentatious have been made to the seanen's headquarters to obtaih a direc- . ion to the men. It is stated that 15 tons of coal were :iot unloaded from No. 4 hold by Saturlay evening and although the eonsignes agreed to this being carried over to avoid delaying the sliip's departure, the 'rew declined to talce the ship to sea vvith the coal still in the hold. When ihe shipping company endeavoured to secure a gaug this morning the union rejuircd a guarautee of an eight liours liift at Sunday rates at Ss 5d hourly .v'liich the company refused as unreaso n able.
