Miss June Cooper has returned | from a short vaeation . at Eketa- : huna. • • The condition of August Ransfleld, of Manakau, the boy cyclist who was injured when he was struck by a car at Manakau on Saturday, is reported by the Palmerston North Hospital to be seri- J ous though not dangerous. i "We regret to announce the loss ! through aeath of our patron, Mr. r; J. He will long be remembered i for the enthusiasm he displayed, ■ and the inspiration given during ; the earlier years of our work.'" Before the business . commenced the president (Mr. H. J. Lancaster) ' made further reference to the i passing of Mr. Foss. He said the , deceased gentleman had helped to form the club and had played a ' large part in its subsequent management. As a tribute to his memory all present stood in silence for a brief period. ;
