Personal Mr. J. Lucinsky has returned to Moutoa after his recent holiday. Mr. L. Beck returned home at the week-end from a holiday in the Hawke's Bay and Poverty Bay districts. Mr. and Mrs. J. Roach and their son were the guests of Mr. and Mrs. J. A. Roach, Stput Street. for ti'.e week-end. Visitors to Shannon from Ohingaiti over the week-end were Messrs. McGucan (postmasten , McKnight (theatre proprietor j . Harding, Corbett and Maclntosh. Mr. and Mrs. J. Tamlyn, of Lower Hutt, who are on holiday to the Bay of Islands, are staying with the latter's mother, Mrs. C. C. H. King and Mrs. King at the post office residence, Stout Street. Basketball Results The three teams from the Shannon Basketball Club were successful in winning all their matches in the Horowhenua competitions played at Levin on Saturday. The A team defeated College B by 17 points to 5, the B team defeated Textiles A 9 — 1 and the C team defeated College E 13 — 10.
