MID-WEEK GOLF

^ The usual competitions for ladies were held on the Mangaore golf links on Wednesday afternoon and the good attendance of members had an enjoyable afternoon 's golf. the weather being ideal with the links in good order. Mr. J. Beech deserves due credit for his work in this respect. Results of the nine hole competition were as follows: — Mesdames R. Lester 41 nett, T. Boon 42 nett and W. Bason 46 nett. The "Top Dogs" competition played later in the afternoon was very keenly contested and after a close garne the holders, Mesdames Lester and Bfeech, were beaten two up and one to play by Mesdames Bason and Robinson.
