RON RANDELL, young Sydney star, as he appears in the title role of "Smithy," the Australian film based on the life of Kingsford Smith, which had its world premiere in Sydney recently in the presence of the Duke and Duchess of Gloucester. About level with Randell's shoulders can be seen the familiar wingline of the old "Southern Cross," which was tuned up to take part in the film.
