The eoncession comes a f,ew davs before the eritical representatives' debate on the British loan, approva] of which will result in the immediale eliinination of any British import controls discriminating against American ex])orts. Under the new arrangements the American experts of goods are falling into permissible categories and will be perniitted up to 20 per cent. of the value of the average annual shipments in the years 198(5, 1.937 and 1938. Products being admitted to Britain indude ielly powder, paints, women 's felt hats, toys, waterproof footwear, toilet articles, sporting equipment and spark plhgs.
