BRIGADE MAKES GOOD SAVE Shortjy before , 11 o'clock last night ilre broke out in a sixroomed house in Sussex Street, owned by Mr. J. L. Edwards, but «•> the prompt/arrivai of the brjgade resulfed in an excellent save. "On arrival the brigade found / the seat. of the fire to be in the kitchenette, the windows and f anlights o'f which were fortunateiy shut, delaying the spread pf the fiames. Had they been open the wiiul blowing at the tjme would have giyen the confiagration a good hold. Under the circumstances not a great deal of water was used tb extinguish the outbrealc. One outside wall of the kitchenette and ihe ceiling was burni throagh>. while furniture was damaged a csrtain amount by heat. Both the dwelling and furniture are eovered by insurance. / .
