LEVIN RESIDENT'S SUCCESS

At a cage-bird show held recently in Wellington a resident of Levin. Mr. H. White, of Keepa Street, was successful in winning ten prizes -from twelve of his entries. He won three firsts, six ' seconds and one third with canaries and budgeri~ gars. His green opaline and blue opaline budgerigars won first places, and seconds were awarded to his light green, white wing and sky blue. In the budgerigar class. ne was unplaced only once. With the canaries he won a first with a buff Yorkshire cock, three seconds with . a yellow Yorkshire hen, an unflighted yellow Yorkshire cock and an unflighted buff York^ shire hen. He was again unplaced only once. Mr. White is_^ taking some birds to the Port Nicholson show, which is to be held soon. It is considered likely that he will repeat his success.
