, Received Tuesday 7 p.m. BRISBANE, July 2. Tlie compulsory conference called by the Premier on the pieat strike, faiied to reach an agreement on terms of resumption and has heen adjcurned indefinitely. Uniess some other unexpected move is made the present state of emergency will continue until the ballot of strikers is completed on July LOth. The ballot is expected to favour work resumption.
