PLAGUE SUSPECT ABOARD
Received Wednesday, 11.30 a.m. 'LONDON, July 2. Three destroyers eseorted a Turkish steamer carrying 1100 illegal Jewish immigraiTts into Haifa harbour, says Reuter's Haifa correspoiident. One passenger is suspected of suifering from plague and the ship has not been allowed to tie up. AL the refugees are being treated witi D.D.T., and are having anti-plagut injections. The correspondent estimates thai 2500 illegai immigrants are nou under detention in P.alestine.
