Personal Mr. J. Miller has been appointed * caretaker for the Civic Theatre. Within a few minutes of each other two well-known Foxton resia'ents of Union Street passed away on Monday morning of last week. They were Mr. Samuel Mansell and Mr. Henry Walker. Miss F. Holmes, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. C. C. Holmes, who recently returned after six years in England, will be the guest speaker at the next meeting of the W.D.F.U. Miss Holmes will deal with life generally in England under war and post-war conditions. J-Force Men on Leave Several Otaki young men are at present on leave prior to embarkation for service with J-Force.
